On September 9th, Apple presented the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus , the new iPhone models that introduce some improvements to the iPhone 6 generation introduced in September 2014. The new phones are therefore very similar to their respective predecessors, but some hardware parts are been updated and there are interesting new features. These include a new processor, higher resolution cameras on both the front and rear, and a pressure-sensitive 3D Touch display.

3D touch . In addition to multitouch, the new iPhone 6s recognizes pressure, i.e. the force that the user exerts on the display. It is used to access shortcuts, for example when we read mail to preview a link without opening the page or map of a place.

For iPhone 6s the display is the same as the iPhone 6, therefore a 4.7 inch Retina display. For iPhone 6s Plus the display is the same as the iPhone 6 Plus, therefore 5.5 inch FullHD.

The operating system for both iPhones is iOS 9 .

The new Apple A9 processor makes its debut on the new Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus alongside the new M9 coprocessor which contains all the sensors. It's a third-generation dual-core 64-bit processor, which the company promises delivers up to 70 percent more CPU performance and up to 90 percent more graphics performance. It also offers a new transistor architecture.

The cameras are new: on the back there is a new 12 megapixel iSight sensor , while on the front there is a 5 megapixel sensor. The new 12-megapixel camera can now record video in 4K resolution .

There is a special chip inside the iPhone 6s that makes the display up to 3 times brighter in order to provide the best possible lighting when taking selfies.

Integrated into the Home button there is the TouchID sensor to detect fingerprints, improved because it is second generation.

Connectivity has been enhanced in the new iPhone 6s, with the mobile network supporting LTE Advanced , while Wi-Fi supports the fast ac standard with MiMo and VOLTE.

As for availability and pricing , the Apple iPhone 6s will be sold in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan from September 25th with pre-orders starting September 12th. In Germany, prices from 739 euros for the 16GB model, to 849 euros for the 64GB model and 959 euros for the 128GB model. In France, prices are increased by 10 euros for each version.
