Apple unveiled more than just its new family of MacBook laptops at the company's 'Spring forward' event held in San Francisco on Monday, March 9. Apple also announced the update of the MacBook Pro with 13" Retina display with the new Force Touch trackpad, fifth generation Intel Core processors, Intel Iris Graphics 6100, twice as fast flash memory and longer battery life. Apple has updated plus the 11" and 13" MacBook Air with fifth generation Intel Core processors, Intel HD Graphics 6000 and Thunderbolt 2, as well as flash memory.

The 13" MacBook Pro with Retina display integrates the new Force Touch trackpad with integrated pressure sensors that allow you to click at any point and the haptic feedback gives an immediate and uniform sensation. You can customize the response of the trackpad by changing the amount of pressure required to register each click. The Force Touch trackpad also allows a new gesture, called long click, which is a click followed by a deeper press, for tasks such as viewing the definition of a word, quickly bringing up a map or taking a look when previewing a file.

The updated version of the MacBook Pro with 13" Retina display offers fifth generation Intel Core processors up to 3.1GHz with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.4GHz, integrated Intel Iris Graphics 6100 graphics with throughput up to 1.6GBps. In addition, the battery now lasts up to 10 hours of normal use.

BTO customizations include a faster dual-core Intel Core i7 processor, up to 3.1GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.4GHz, up to 16GB of memory and up to 1TB flash drives.
