Apple has released the long-awaited iOS mobile operating system version 8.3 update as well as the Mac operating system update, Yosemite OS X 10.10.3. The new Photos app debuts on MAC, while multi-ethnic emojis arrive on iOS.
Among the new features is the introduction of differentiated icons to represent people of various races, the so-called multi-ethnic emoji, which allow you to select icons of faces with different skin colours. iOS 8.3 also improves the performance of WiFi connectivity, messaging and Safari browser windows.
Apple also began rolling out the operating system update for Macs on the same day , Yosemite OS Photos application (Photos in the Italian version) which complements, but does not replace for the moment, iPhoto. There's also integration with iCloud Photo Library.
With Photos you can: Browse photos by time and location in Moments, Collections, and Years views; Navigate the library using the convenient Photos, Shared, Albums and Projects panels; store all photos and videos in your iCloud Photo Library in their original format and full resolution; access photos and videos stored in iCloud Photo Library from your Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iCloud.com with any web browser; perfect photos with easy-to-use photo editing tools; create professional-quality photo books with simplified composition tools, new Apple-designed themes and new square formats; purchase prints in the new square and panoramic format sizes.
The Yosemite OS also includes the following improvements:
• Adds over 300 new emoji characters.
• Adds Spotlight suggestions to the definition search functionality.
• Prevents Safari from saving the URL of favicons of websites you visit during private browsing.
• Improves the stability and security of Safari.
• Improves Wi-Fi performance and connectivity in various usage scenarios.
• Improves compatibility with Wi-Fi networks that use an authentication portal.
• Resolves an issue that may cause Bluetooth devices to disconnect.
• Improves reliability when sharing screen.
