Facebook has released the new version of its Messenger messaging app which now comes with a user interface that is better suited to the iPad's larger screen.
Last autumn, Facebook Messenger was updated completely, but those who used the application on the iPad had to settle for enlarged graphics because they were not optimized for screens larger than that of the iPhone. After many requests from users, Facebook has decided to support larger screens, and this is how Messenger better supports larger displays from today.
The new version of the application has the same functionality as the previous version, only that it integrates better on the iPad.
Facebook Messenger has therefore been optimized for iPad and is already available for free download on the App Store, while there is still no information on when the app will be adapted for Android tablets.
Messenger is a fast, free and reliable way to stay in touch. It's just like sending text messages, but without having to pay for each message. Other features: access messages without opening Facebook, stickers for conversations, send photos privately, group conversations, send messages to phone contacts even if they are not your friends on Facebook, location sharing to let people know when you is nearby, recording voice messages.
What's new in Facebook Messenger in version 7.0 for iOS:
– Calls are now more reliable.
– Issues have been fixed to allow faster viewing of active people on Facebook.
– Added graphics support for iPad.
