iPhone, big increase in sales thanks to iPhone 6
The new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus gave Apple a huge increase in smartphone sales globally in the three months ending October 2014. According to the latest report from Kantar, the iPhone 6 will arrive in stores between August and October (remember that it has been on sale since September 19th) put the new iPhones representing 13.5% of overall smartphone sales in Italy, compared to the 10.1% recorded in the same period last year, with growth 3.4 percentage points. In the reference period, seven out of ten smartphones (70.2%) sold in Italy run Google's Android operating system ( 1.4 points), while 10.8% are Microsoft's Windows Phone (-2.3 points ).
